Avocet Condor

VeloBase lists it as 162 mm wide. I ride 145-155 mm Brooks Saddles. I bought a bike, a 1980 Trek 414, which I plan to ride across the state (Ohio) over the course of four days, and then pack it up for the trip to Mexico. I have zero experience with pretty much anything other than Brooks. Is this thing shaped in such a way that I could consider riding it, or might I think about taking my C15 along, and pack this one?
TIA

I put a Condor on my son's commuter and it's fine for short city rides. For all-day comfort who knows. The cover material is vinyl which is not great in warm/hot weather. Get a piece of thin leather and have a shoe repair guy glue it on.

Swap it out for one of the saddles you already own and are comfortable riding over long distances. Never take a saddle that you haven't long term tested on a four day trip. It might be fine but it could also turn into four days of pure misery. It's not worth the risk.

+ 1. A four day trip is not the right time to experiment with a new saddle.

I don't know how your sample has held up over the last 40 years, but I rode my 1980 Trek 412 equipped with a Condor saddle on tour for 1500 miles with no issues.

Nothing necessarily wrong with the saddle, though I agree with the others- I wouldn't experiment with ANY unfamilar saddle on an important trip.
