Sears will never die!
Delivered to the door stop.
Original made in Austria (Steyr) circa 1965 Sears 3 speed. Original Semperit tires hold air.
Only part not original as arrived was a newer soopa-poopa schwinn saddle. I recall having stashed an original horse hair padded linear spring saddle from an old Sears, bonus for a matching saddle bag. Perfect swap along with the flat rail seat clamp.
Plans are the usual, complete teardown service, preservation.

Ps. Along with the Sears came an original ladies Raleigh Sports 3 speed. Unknown age. Is it yet impolite to ask her age?

Has to be around '65 with that twist grip. I think they ruled the market for that one year. Pristine bike.
edit I see you posted the Magura grips. Pretty sure it was all Sturmey licensed, hubs as well.
I like the look of that thumb stop, if that's what it is. Big improvement on SA's model, if it works.

What a great find. That Steyr is a real gem. On the Raleigh, going by the self adjusting brakes on one end and the older style graphics on the other, 1973 would be a good guess, but check the date on the Sturmey Archer hub shell.

The green Raleigh ladies is early 70s if those god-awful self-adjusting brakes are original to it. And how could they not be?
I think they were only used like 72-74 +/- a year.
Oops, too slow, sit up.

Wow, those bikes look as though they just came off the showroom floor! Bikes like these bring back some great memories of easy cruising through the neighborhood.
Nice!

My first adult-sized bike was a Sears coaster-brake single speed, this would have been mid-to-late 1960s. Same color. Put a lot of miles on that bike and enjoyed every second of it. I think I wore out 2 sets of tires on that bike.
Then I "moved up" to a 2x5 Huffy, probably also from Sears - can't remember. Fun times.
Great find.

I learned here on BF that if you protect tires from humidity and UV, they won't dry rot. And it may even be true.
