Trek 700 Multitrack

Amelia Island Florida near jetty on the North end of island. At 69 degrees this morning there was a bit of a chill in the air. The trusty old Trek is a great ride. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7419b54c9e.jpg

69... sounds more like you were chillin’ out then being chilled! Good looking bike to run around on! Keeping it stock or modding it some?

I've kept it mostly original. The shifters are about the only change I made. It came originally equipped with grip shifters. I ditched those for some cheapo thumb shifters & some cushy black foam grips. It's got 700 x 38 tires that can handle rides on the beach (at low tide when the sand is packed hard). I'm not a big fan of grip shifters because of the hard rubber hand grips. My 62 year old hands need something soft to hang onto. I also put a cheap vinyl saddle with steel springs on it. So, it's a pretty smooth ride.

The 700 series Treks are nice and very versatile. There is a lot of room for fenders if you want a commuter and they do OK as drop bar conversions.
