A while back, I mentioned that I had been to a ride in Italy with, among other things, a good product expo. Before are some photos of the shoes I picked up there. Brand new, still in the box, with that new leather smell. I will have to add some cleats, but I think I still remember how to do that from the days that I rode Dirty Petes.
Best part of the purchase was talking with the owner of the company. His passion and enthusiasm for his product was almost worth the purchase price.
I have contact info for the company if anyone is interested. They also make a shoe with a heel and have a line of jerseys and shorts.

Those look perfect. Yes, info please!

Beautiful, but I find most shoes with a toe box too small, Sidi 45.5s are perfect with their generous toe room, any comment from owners as to these?

I'm also making plans to nail on a set of T.A. Anquetil cleats. In preparation, I've gotten a bit of advice from the on-line groups, but in my stash of bike magazines from the old days, I've got an article about cleats and nailing them on, written by John Schubert. Perhaps it'll be useful to others interested in experiencing this curious bit of vintage bike culture, so I'll attach it below.

if you have any questions on ordering, contact Mattia using info@mastrofisso.com. He's the guy I spoke to at the expo. Also, while it is not clear from the website, they can embroidery jerseys using the old style chain stitch. They had the macine set up, and they were cranking out embroidered jerseys using a paper pattern. had not seen that being done since about 1980.

on the fit, I got a pair of 43s. By way of comparison, I don't have narrow feet and I have 44s in both Giro Republics and whatever the lace up Vittoria leather Italy 1976 shoes are called. Put on the Mastrofisos and did not get tge toe crunch I usually feel eith new shoes. Bought 43s as the leather is soft, as will stretch, just like the old days, Still, I can't bring myself to wear the shoes into the tub to get that perfect fit.

Aubergine, where did you buy yours?

Those looks really nice. It would be nice to hear back once you’ve put some miles on them. I see the seller also has some neat vintage style jerseys available

I would not buy shoes from Europe without trying them on. Europeans think 47 is USA size 12 or 13. Typically, it is not close to 13 and may be, just maybe, a USA 12. They are usually just too small.
