Anyone else working on their C&Vs today?
Great day off. Good to have some time to work on the Cannondale. Overhauled the hubs I got from Steve Whitlatch. Built the rear wheel, mounted the tire and freewheel.. Also mounted the new top tube cable guides to the frame...(pain in the ass). What are you working on today?

I'm resurrecting a RockCombo. This is after a round of cleaning and getting it rideable. I've got the original Suntour bits for it except the rear wheel. Might built it as a single.

Yup,
Been cleaning off old, petrified glue from the rims of a close to new wheelset I recently bought for my Bottecchia Professional.
The glue comes off easy enough with the rotary wire brush tip on my Dremel, but the previous owner really put on a lot of glue on the rim, so it took me almost an hour to get the front rim cleaned up. Used up three brush tips and I only have one left in my Dremel box. Will have to do the rear wheel tomorrow, after I pick up a few more brush tips tomorrow from the hardware store.... Hopefully the rear wheel is not as bad.....

Before turkey time, took my 85 Raleigh Marathon back down to brakes only. It’s gonna do the SS foul weather winter duty again when I get riding clearance.

Stripped down my Paramount for its first (and my first) Evaporust bath. I have one of those vacuum pack bags for clothes that it just about fits in.
Evaporust is supposed to arrive tomorrow. If it all works out well the Colnago is going in next!

While keeping an eye on the turkey in the smoker, I worked on my '87 Schwinn Prologue. All that's left to do to make it ready to ride, is put on & cable-up the reverse brake levers (I replaced the drop handlebars with something more friendly to my customized spine). After wrapping some fresh bar tape, bought yesterday at the LBS, she'll be ready for a shakedown ride.

Not working on per say, but yesterday I moved all five bikes (and a bunch of other big/heavy stuff) to the new house.
Today I hosted Thanksgiving and unpacked boxes.

Newly laced wheels are always pretty 'cuz the hubs havne't gotten dirty yet!
The question was asked yesterday, so with that in mind... I've been building up the Gazelle Champion Mondial A-Frame frame I picked up from @Chrome Molly back in March. A day or so ago I strung up the RD cable, had already done the FD. Today I looked closely at the brakes and realized the calipers I intended to use just wouldn't work. The reach wasn't sufficient. So I spent part of the afternoon blocking up an old leather saddle. It's a Norex (I think it said, don't remember 'xactly), one of the off-brands made by Ideale, that came on my UO-8. I rode it for many many many miles until I got caught in heavy rain commuting home one day and it sagged enough to become uncomfortable. @rhm had suggested I try wetting it, re-shaping it, then letting it dry. SO that was today's bike work. One day, probably in the year 2020, this bike might be finished. Then I'll post pics.

Works a treat on bar tape mess.
Warning/danger, nasty stuff, not for the chemically adverse.

Mounting some 700x32 Gravelkings on Module 3 rims. Still do not understand why these new generation of tires is such a PITA to mount on vintage rims. Almost enough to say screw it and go exclusively tubular.

Spent Thanksgiving Day morning doing some filing on NOS DA 7400 rear brake caliper arms to get that last mm of clearance on a super secret build that has yet to be revealed. Wanted to get it done while Mrs.Doc was out of the house due to noise and aluminum chips/dust.

Started cleaning up the rear wheel rim with my leftover CS bristled rotary brush tip and it only lasted up to barely half the rim and was struggling really bad to get the glue off towards the end where there weren't enough bristles left on the tip. Installed one of the new SS tips on the Dremel, and holy cow! It went through the glue like butter, instsntly blowing up the thickest globs of glue to dust, with hardly any pressure applied and it took only one third of time it took with the CS brush to finish the second half of the rim!, plus, the rotary brush tip looks like its ready to do two more complete rims as it did not lose any of its bristles, going through half the rim.
So, if any of you use a Dremel to remove old glue from your tubular rims, make sure you get the rotary brush tip with stainless steel bristles. It is really worth the couple more dollars you have to pay for each.

While sitting in 737s and airport bars yesterday, I planned my approach to "Save The Decals" refinishing of the Schwinn Circuit. Today, it began with some green tape and sanding.
