SV 980 with 531p stickers?

This is that beautiful frame made in Montpellier by Jean valero. taking the headset apart I noticed on the steerer Tube it's stamped sv980. What are the chances of him having built a frame using 531 p and a steerer tube of SV 980 ? to thicken the plot and possibly make it more obvious the 531p decals are the English variety. Oh dear...

Interesting. And my SV980 Peugeot is stamped Reynolds 531 on the fork steerer. Just opposite of what you've got.

Absolutely any combination is possible, especially with a small framebuilder.

I don't know why on earth a builder will devalue an SV980 frame with a 531 decal??

Just a joke from an SV980 fan......

I know some companies use different manufacturer's tubing within the same frame to ride tune, but I don't think that's the case here. Is it possible the builder was using whatever tubing was on hand to complete a frame?
