***Rare Estate Sale find***
All Original, Schwinn Green "Pea Picker" Krate, Sting-Ray Five-Speed Bicycle. From a high-end estate sale in Tucson. Been in storage since the late 60s or early 70s. Everything works. Original Sting-Ray 20 in. Slick Wide Tire, Five-Speed Stick Shift, Rear Caliper, Front Drum Brakes, High-Rise Handlebars, Perfect Green Handle Grips, Perfect Green Banana Shock Mounted Seat, No rust, Very very minor imperfections. I'd say it's like new, but it's at least a solid 9+ on a scale of 1 to 10. It needs to be in a collection, too nice to ride. You won't be disappointed. Examine photos carefully!
Included is a paper parts catalog, said to be 10 to 15 years old, from a former authorized Schwinn classic parts dealer. "Hyper-Formance 'Rays", no longer in business. Spare parts can be obtained at koolestuff.com.
Price: $3999.00, OBO, cash, No low balls!!

The most expensive non-BMX bike is an old Trek MTB for $75.

There has been a hopeful seller in the Orange County California craigslist what periodically offers up a Legnano for $5000.
today, there are a number of duplicate staggered insertions.

yeah and I am not even sure that is the most expensive- it was just the first one I saw. once you are asking 15k I am not sure why not 25k. either you find a rich doofus or you don't.

I like this game!
This one's maybe a decent deal? It's at least rare enough for the asking price to the right person.

Re the Schwinn tandem, We just got one donated to the bike exchange. It was so heavy I had to have help lifting the rear end up to put in our Park stand. I was afraid to try to get the whole thing off the ground . If it fell on you it could kill you.
It is hard to believe anyone would pay much for a bike like this even if it were cleaned up .
If you just HAVE to have one let me know. It is in Sillycone valley and you pay for shipping.

1976 Crescent for $1,000
This one is not crazy high but the ad is over the top and there is no good clear picture of the bike. Still $1,000 for a 1970s Reynolds 531 bike with campy parts is well over market value in this part of the world:

This one also qualifies for Wacky World, given the cryptic text With Every Word Initial-Capitalized, the wacky price, the severe shortage of information, and the ZERO photos:
