Gran-Compe replacement hoods
Will these rustines “campy style” hoods fit my 80s non aero gran-compe brake levers? https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0bb00f0a5.jpeg The campy style hoods https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...47d71d71f.jpeg My brake levers |
Gran Compe lever bodies are subtly different from Campagnolo-style lever bodies. I suspect the Campagnolo-style hoods might be somewhat loose at the bases, Possibly, building up the base with a layer of tape or something might help.

Thank you very much John! |
I'm thinking the Dia-Compe 204 hoods might be a pretty good fit:

Thank you. I’ve seen those and figured they would work. I was hoping the rustines hoods would fit because they look more like the gum OEM hoods. I considered also buying brand new grand compe levers |
These Cane Creek hoods are a very good fit, too:

By the way- Stonglight Bob’s excellent photo essay on those levers: https://www.flickr.com/photos/strong...7627325893194/ |
