DeRosa, finally in hand.

Made a deal on this last week and finally picked it up today. It’s a little rough, older Keith Anderson repaint. Needs some work, and better saddle and stem/bars .

That's sweet.

Looks like one I used to have. Great riding bike, for sure.

Very nice! I finally picked up a De Rosa that is my size about a year ago. You will enjoy the ride.

Congrat's on such a "grail" find!

I've had my eyes open for a nice DeRosa for many long years, but at some point took the more pragmatic approach and bought a couple of more-common Eddy Merckx's.

Better clock that big chainring on right. hate to get the chain stuck between the spider and the crank arm when you overshift it!

Yep, bottom bracket is on backwards also. This will get the full treatment once I collect some parts.

I never thought my wife paid much attention to my bikes. But, when I told her how hard it is to find DeRosa bikes, she said “Isn’t this your third red DeRosa?” Left me speeches, she got me!

That is why I keep my bicycles at work.

Unfortunate that Keith Anderson stopped painting bicycles, but it is a tough business. Mix in other factors and doing something else makes sense.

Very nice purchase.

Does anyone know if the internal brake guide is original or was it put on later? Also not sure about the seattube bottle bosses. Thanks

I just noticed, De Rosa wasn't into that much chrome on their bikes (no chrome on the forks?)? Kinda unusual for an Italian maker.....

Beautiful!

I never understood why people went totally gaga over bright red bikes with white decals............Then I saw one in person last week. It's like there is an aura or glow surrounding them. Almost too pretty to ride. I get it now.

If you don't have a De Rosa in this shade of red you can get a fourth without being left speechless. That is if you can find one. I have only seen one or two other pictures of this color De Rosa.

my wife only repeats, you have too many bikes (only 3 are mine).... but in general she doesn't notice them in detail. Not the de rosa...... "wow that is a pretty red bike"

so note, while red is faster, de rosa red has a built in "significant other look at me" factor......use this knowledge wisely

non aero, my plans are Veloflex tires, Cinelli stem and bars, new hoods and cables and probably a San Marco Regal.
