The lifting limit thing can be the most frustrating. Mine wasn't quite as restrictive, but still a PITA. You can't even pick up a gallon bottle of water! Stuff you take for granted becomes "Hey honey, can you....". But as said, you'll "get there", and you'll look back knowing that a slow careful recovery is time well spent.

Good luck healing!
I wish you luck healing up. I broke my fibula in a crash last month and am very frustrated that I still have 3 more weeks until I can get back on a bike.

Glad you made it through, now the healing part begins. Good mantra: "Don't push the river it flows by itself". So hard to not train or to train within limitations, I'll be joining you, when the wrangling for approval gets sorted out, but at the other end of the spine. Take care.

@scozim Scott, how are you doing today?
Got a lot of Premier League soccer games in over the weekend on tv. I'm down about 3 lbs so far so I guess that's a positive too. That might help me stay up with Matt @northbend on the hills this summer.Yesterday was a pretty good day and I'm not sure why it was different. I'm off the narcotic pain meds and took Tylenol once yesterday and so far only once today. The muscle relaxant is taken once a day now too. Not bad for day 6. I clearly slept wrong last night and was real stiff and sore this morning so Tylenol happened a little earlier than planned. I've done my therapy for the day which is basically walking. Yesterday was down to the mailbox and back (1 mile) and today just a tad further than that.
When I get tired it seems to come on pretty quickly which is surprising. Being off work is tough but I'm adjusting well enough.
I spend time perusing here and I was able to get my "new" 115m Cinelli XA stem and Cinelli 66-42 bars installed on the Nishiki Maxima today.

Nothing formal with a physical therapist - that will come in 6-8 wks.when they work on neck mobility and strengthening. For now walking is just prescribed.

3 week post fusion visit with the neurosurgeon on Wednesday and most restrictions were lifted including this. Of course, it came with the caveat "as tolerated". Still taking it easy but 20 min yesterday was awesome.
