You can also checkout the Nishiki Sport. I got one for my daughter. Label says chromoly 4130 but nothing about any butting. I have seen them about on CL so they are not too rare.

I picked up a Nishiki Riviera (84) to set up for my wife last weekend and it features Tange 900 double butted chrome moly main tubes. I'm assuming the forks and stays are hi-ten. Not the highest end frame but nice lugwork and pretty light. I had to be patient for a quality mixte to show up on CL in my area, especially at a reasonable price.

Koga Miyata Road Mixed 1977 UNUSED!
Hello, my name Bastiaan, Dutch, 66 years old
Recently I found this unique example of one of the best road bikes ever, and never used! Complete as it was delivered 42 years ago and in all parts original. The bike is spotless and really even the old tires kept air! During carefully cleaning the bike I didn't find any damages, rust or what ever, it's just new.
I am new on this forum, living in Holland and found this Bike Forum looking for some old advertise pictures of the steel Koga Miyata. As you may know these bikes were built in Holland using Japanese frames and gears. The cooporation was very succesful for more than 25 years. The company was founded by Andries Gaastra in 1974, who therefore left his function at his father's company, The name Koga is a combination of his surname and that of his wife Marion Kowallik. The addition of Miyata came from the cooperation with the Japanese manufacturer.
It was a great oppertunitty to buy this bike, living in Holland but very frequently visiting Japan for my business. Anyway I will keep the bike fully original but with respect I made an interchangable conversion which I will also show later when permitted (so send me 10 replys please) to add pictures of this beauty.

My wife is a big mixte fan we currently have examples from Peugot (waiting to build), Puch, Nishiki, Centurion and Miyata. The Centurion is probably the best of the bunch, but none are high end steel.
She doesn't care about the fact that none of them are 531 or anything she just like the looks.

Currently rebuilding this Gazelle Lausanne mixte. It has the single top tube of a ladies bike but includes the extra stays of a mixte so let's call it a 'semi-mixte'. Not sure if there are strict requirements for the term.

Just realized going through the brochure of my new-to-me Koga-Miyata Adventure that the 1999 model came in a 60cm (23.62 inch) size. For those lovers of tall mixtes.
