But I gotta admit, I have a hankering for that Mondrian graphics '85 retro jersey. Makes me wanna go all Badger and punch a protestor.

That jersey just makes ya wanna punch a fool.

Heh! In the video in slo-mo, the fellow at far right is trying to stop the peloton and looks over his shoulder when he hears Hinault getting into a scuffle with another protestor.

But in the still photo it looks like the guy is terrified, hands up and running away from an angry Badger.

Either way, it's among my favorite TdF moments, alongside Froome backhanding some clown in a costume. As a boxing fan, I'd like to get some original higher resolution footage to create an all-fight, all the time cycling compilation video.

I ride mostly on back country roads with a lot of large vehicles going 50+ mph with zero shoulders. Over the years I've transitioned to mostly solid, bright colors - yellow, white and bright, bright green. I want to be seen when those stupid drivers are messing with their phones because there's no traffic. I do have some "print" jerseys but tend to order brighter ones for those as well.

+1
Stocked up on solid bright orange and green golf shirts. Awesome for cycling with higher tech moisture wicking away material. I even like wearing in the rain as they quickly dry afterwards. I've found them for near giveaway prices at a few retailer clearance.

Zero fashion sense for golfing and I will NOT wear these on the course!

I don't have any kits that are too "loud". Some breweries. A team jersey from a friend for a team that I'd never be good enough to ride on. Mostly what I find cheap. My main personal rule is not wearing any branded gear if said brand is not represented on my bike.

So far, the poll shows we tend to things that work; cheap and not in vogue, followed closely by some prancing fashion horses.

Bright standout color

I wear a reflective bright orange hunter safety vest, with flashing lights front and back, both day and night. I want to stand out so drivers see me as soon and from as far away as possiable, in whatever city/country environment I ride in. It doesn't matter if a rider looks cool/fasionable when they are a mangled bloody body underneath a car or truck. Also, I love dogs and wish dog parents would put protective gear on them, when on a bike.

What do you recommend?

We have a kiddie trailer that's quite suitable for two smaller pooch's. One is always eager to go but the other does not take kindly to getting in. Only until underway will she settle down.

Years ago when we had our 80lbs lab, she would love sitting in front of me while riding an ATV. I wouldn't go very fast and if she wanted to lead the trail, would let me know! Same pooch was awesome on the boat. If we would leave without her, it was a cry beyond hopeless. That one loved boating and the water. We would also take her with in a canoe. Thinking back, I should have had a doggy PFD.

at least head protection for dogs

I see people riding with dogs in baskets, and when they crash the dogs goi flying out and hit the concrete in all body positions yelping and crying. Just like adults and children suffer brain damage when they smash their heads crashing on bikes, I have to believe that dogs do also. Humans wear helments, why shouldn't dogs?

Black shorts/bibs.
black arm warmers and leg/knee warmers when its cold or white sun sleeves when its warm

Those are things that dont change. All are practical.

Jerseys are almost all Primal as I have found a version that fits well, isnt too expensive for what i want to spend, and has good enough graphics.
Unless its a jersey from a sponsored ride or the group I ride with, the jersey will not have print on it. I dont own any jerseys with a bunch of advertisements- I loathe that off the bike and am certainly not paid to ride, so wouldnt want to wear something like that on the bike either.

I'm not at all sure why you inserted yourself into a fashion thread.
Something here tastes like people trying to rule others' lives, as if everyone else is unable to think.
Wrong site, wrong forum, wrong thread.

Let me have this Robbie. I'm just delighted that my fashion choices have clearly vexed someone.
Here are some more photos of my fashion choices, which I hope don't bother anyone else. /s

try Alibaba.com, my guess is 2 vendors in Asia can sell to you for less than $30 each.

The jersey is not vintage; I am the vintage one.

For obvious reasons, however, This jersey and kit have special meaning for me.
