The best pic is the one where the BMX guy is banging a wheelie, and all of the kids are in awe, except for that one that looked at the camera. I am sure that they just said "print it!" out of exasperation because you know that they burned rolls of film for that segment!. Too funny.

80s Univega Frames
I know this is an old post but I had a question about mid 80s Univega frames.
While looking at the catalogs posted here it seems like the whole line from the top to the mid- lower range had Cromo triple butted tubing with Cromo stays with the only difference being the mid- lower models had hi ten forks instead of Cromo. With the excemption of geometry, does this mean all the frames from the top to the mid lower were the same frame? Or were they all different variations of triple butted cromo, ie., different geometry and wall thickness etc? Thx for your input in advance.

If you look at Miyata catalogs of similar years, they should be more specific about wall thickness.

Univega and Miyata
Thx for the tip.
So Im assuming that the Univega frames where made buy Miyata ( which Ive heard) and that they were the exact same frames just rebadged?

Just saw the link to these catalogs. A great resource for sure. I was in my 20’s then, so a prime target for Univega. But looking at the models in the pictures has to be most cringeworthy I will see today.😏
