Ok, let's make it the 27th then. I'll edit the first post.

Damn you Yankees for switching the date on me while I respite from winter on a sunny coastal Georgia Island! Just for changing it I'll put up some pictures just to rub it in because I know there's still plenty of snow back there in New England--- especially Maine where @top506 hangs his wrenches. Can't make the 27th--- I'll be back in the south--- this time on the FL panhandle!

Sharon and I cannot make the 27th. We a music practice that cannot be rescheduled. We may ride on the 20th anyway, make the CCRT ride be a 2-part-er.

Or--- we could meet closer to both our homes and figure out a good alternative April 20th ride?

I don't know about any loops (though I did walk around in a circle at 1:59 yesterday, March 14). Regardless of loops, weather and any unpredictable event not preventing it, we will ride the CCRT on Saturday April 20. Sharon has really been looking forward to it, didn't like the idea of riding somewhere else, and I'm rather fond of the CCRT myself. Bob, it would be great if you could make it but we understand that it is a long trip for you. Top, sorry we can't make the 27th. Our ride will just have to be an unsanctioned preliminary to the Main Event. Prowler, we'd love to ride one of those trails in Connectthedots with you but time doesn't allow it. As per tradition we will depart from the Dennis parking lot, just south of exit 9 off rt 6. IIRC we will aim to start riding at 10AM.

@jimmuller, if Sharon has her heart set on the CCRT, then by golly I'll do my best to be there! I might combine a trip to see relatives who live in Foxboro and spend the night there Friday. Should be an easy drive on Saturday morning from their house to Dennis.

I will miss seeing the other C&Vers but I understand. A work day for me (Easter) is often a family day for others.

I could always do my "Surf and Turf" ride here on the North Shore some weekend. Top came down for that one time .. and I can get lots of people too.

was just there exploring the south western terminus, can I add this here, in case it's helpful for anyone?

traditional official CCRT parking
near Barb's Bike Shop 3454, 430 MA-134, South Dennis, MA 02660

to get more miles (4?~5? one way) park here
Old Town House Road Park 144 Old Town House Rd, South Yarmouth, MA 02664
(seasonal restrooms)

& this map (w/o extension) shows mile markers

Looks like my date of the 27th just went down the tubes, I'll actually be in Maine that day on a quick business trip. So if anyone decides to ride on the 20th, that's still my goal.

I have high hopes of making the ride this year, since Vicky and I will actually be on the Cape that weekend. What were the odds of that? Really looking forward to it.

As I posted earlier, Sharon and I cannot make the 27th so we will definitely ride on the 20th. Unless it snows. Or a nor'easter hit, snow or rain. Looking forward to seeing those of you who can make it then!

I'm going to do my best to be there on the 20th. Just don't push me so hard that I'll be beat for Easter services the next morning. I wonder what they'd do if I over slept?

They're Presbyterians, right? They'd probably form a committee, have it surround your house, and throw eggs at your windows to wake you up.

I'll be there for the 20th, it might be my first ride of the year. I've been a busy guy, still haven't gotten out yet this spring. Can't really think of a better first ride.

Right now it doesn't look as if I can make either the 20th or the 27th.
Have fun, and be sure to eat something unhealthy for lunch.

@top506 you are just a party pooper poopy head cranky Yankee wicked no fun tease from way up north where there's probably still 2+ feet of snow on the ground and you just are not brave enough to tell us you are heading to FL or AZ or CA or even worse HI to ride in sunshine and warm temps just to avoid the 30 mph 40F headwinds of the central Cape kicking sandy grit in the precious drivetrain of your Miyata.

(How's that for a run on sentence duly chastising you for organizing a ride and bailing out? )
