Still not sure if I am keeping this one after a breakdown and polish, but I am warming up to it. Campania Professional, and I have a separate thread with details...

^ Wow, those are becoming quite popular lately. Saw one for sale locally a few months ago, should have grabbed it.

Cilo Sport SE

I tried to post an image but it says I can’t without having made 10 posts first...so imagine a 1985 Cilo Sport SE, black with white head tube and fork. Made in Japan (even though Cilo was a Swiss company) with Tange tubing. Mavic Module E / Shimano 600 wheelset, later Ultegra crank, later 105 derailleurs, Nitto stem and bar.

Yup. Can't be beat. With that said the bike has been coast to coast several times, Vancouver to Mexico, etc. and I have never had to pull a crank on the road. Not sure where I picked them up but it would have been in LA in the mid 80's. They were not stock. I love the AT cranks. The other favorite of mine on the bike is the original Sun Tour Le Tech RD. Got to love the retro computer font. A really nice piece of engineering given the timeframe and just before the demise of Sun Tour. As a note, my wife has the matching bike in light blue but it's a 83 production date with a slightly different build.

They came with the Shimano 600 cranks that were on my McBain track bike when I purchased it. When I upgraded to 1st gen dura-ace cranks I used the Autex bolts, but obviously didn't have the proper adaptor tool. I got home one night and realised one had fallen out! Spent the next however many years trying to find some replacements for a reasonable price (I'm in Australia, so postage often killed it.) Finally found a cheap incomplete set that had the bits that I needed. Think not long after that I found a NOS set for a good price, which came with the little tool - made sure they won't be falling out ever again!

'87 "Miami Vice". 105 groupset. Aero seatpost, aero bars. Actually I need to update pic as it's now sporting a turbo saddle and 7 speed gripshift with a 13-26 Dura Ace freewheel.

M = Mercian, Masi, Motobecane. And so on and so forth. The letter of the fortnight should correspond with the marque, not the model. For example; you could post your Tommasini Prestige in the T thread, but not in the P thread.

Yes, when Motobecane starts with "C".

Craigslist Colnago, probably late 80s vintage. Love to find a model name and/or serial number, but they don't appear to be on the bike, not even on the droput or on the bottom bracket housing. Appreciate any suggestions.
