Show Us Your Bikes Starting With D
Here's your chance to show us your bikes alphabetically!
It goes like this: every fortnight I'll start a new thread with a new letter in alphabetical order. Post your classic and vintage bikes that correspond to that letter, eg; C = Cinelli, Carlton, Ciocc. M = Mercian, Masi, Motobecane. And so on and so forth. The letter of the fortnight should correspond with the marque, not the model. For example; you could post your Tommasini Prestige in the T thread, but not in the P thread. If you're not sure, take a look at the word on your downtube. There's a grey area with people's names - Bruce Gordon, Claud Butler, etc., but I'll leave it up to the owners which thread is preferred. Make sense?
So let's see your Dentis, Davidsons and Doors...I mean, Dawes.

Ok, here we go.
Let's start with the De Rosa. Nuovo Classico, TSX tubed with Chorus 11 speed.

And then my Davidson Impulse. Prestige tubed with Shimano 600 for now. This one is so sweet to ride.

Diamond Back Master TG
From after Centurion was no more, but before they changed it to Diamondback.
stiff frame and quick geometry. Just too small for me so I moved it on to a better home.
love the paint.

Late 80s Diamond Back Lakeside Hybrid with drop bars
When I was experimenting with drop bar gravel bikes, I put this one together. I still have the bike, but it's back to flat bars. With a smallish frame and really long seat post, it makes a good guest bike.

I have shifted nicer systems.
The indexing is ... uhhhhhhh ... subtle. Fingertip control, so to speak.

"D" apparently doesn't do it for me, as I've only got two.
A (Bernard) Dangre that I've never ridden:

And a Dawes Galaxy that "needs some TLC":

Let's lower the bar. Trash picked Dunelt frame, probably wartime with parts salvaged from another $25 '59 Dunelt with a bent frame. Had it built as a fixed gear scorcher, pulled it apart until further notice. Early badge vs '59 badge. Mudguard with matching '59 rear badge.
