Trek 520 finished, my way.

Took a little while to figure out exactly what I wanted on this. 9 speed wheels off my old Surly, aero brake lever, 9 speed indexed barend shifters and a Brooks B-17. I love it.

Important question!
With 700 wheels how wide a tire you squeeze in there, and where is the limiting factor?

AWESOME build! Looks comfortable!

Rim info?

Thanks

I did the same for my wife's 1983 620. I wish that I had a photo. Kept the Sugino AT crank, changed to 9-speed Shimano bar ends with a Deore rapid rise rear derailleur. (She likes the logic of "pull lever, increasing gear" on both sides.) She also likes the feel of the Tektro smaller aero levers matched to dual pivot calipers. I recessed the heads. Hand built 700c wheels, that have Tiagra hubs laced to M-13 rims, if I remember right. Vittoria Rubino Pros in 28 with the reflective sidewall. Terry Liberator (non-gel) saddle. It's a really nice bike and she likes it a lot.

That's beautiful. Slick. Classy.

I've got one of those SR Apex triples... but it's set up as a half-step and a granny like yours- I want to find a more usable middle ring- They're around in that BCD- I just never strike when the iron is hot
