What kind of sticker is this? Im just asking because of the restauration. The brake bridge is exactly the same like yours. Almost everything looks identical except for the top tube. Maybe someone removed the cable stops? But It's looks almost too clean underneath the paint for the removal theory. Fitting to the cleaness of the frame itself it has no mounting for shifters or the front derrailleur, only the weird little ones on the steering tube. Only some more posts and i can show you pictures which makes everything easier (especially for my bad english :P) Columbus tubing decal (1978 to 1984) Great that the brake bridge is the same as mine! It makes a pair and means mine is not a "fluke". Do no worry about your English! I am Swedish and I do not know from where CyclesMakaron is but he is not English speaking either... Keep on posting - so we can get to see your pictures. edit - and PS the lack of shifter bosses on the frame is because bar end shifters were the norm in cyclocross at this time. I guess a braze on for the front derailleur was not popular either because of all the different size rings they used on the crank. And sometimes even a sort of rotating protective ring on both sides of a single ring. Also note that there is no braze ons for a bottle holder. The races were short and there were no need to have a bottle on the bike. |

Z8060 - this is Corsa from 1986, team Kelme used "white camo" only in 1984 season (at that time there was no Corsa model yet). This should be ver.1 with "lugs with cut-outs" - a rather rare thing. Photos...as fast and as much as possible :)

Got this bike a few years back. Never found another frame with similar coloured livery, anyone got any ideas on dating it? I may recall having seen the same livery but with the rounded, more modern Eddy Merckx typeface on the downtube. Serial: Left D 6M, Right B 1638
Forum won't allow me to post pictures so you can find them here: imgur.com/a/Glu34Yc |
Merckx in Panasonic livery, pictures when I bought it years ago. Needs to be rebuilt one day.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...08d52e7d49.jpg

The next Corsa ver. 1 1986... the Panasonic team in 1986 was the best team in the world

I think of doing some Victory on this one some day. Love the look of that groupset. |
No team has ever used a Corsa model... All teams used the Professional model until the middle of the 1985 season, followed by the Pro model (SLX or 753) and since mid 1986 the Corsa Extra (SLX or 753)
Corsa is actually a continuation of the Team Issue series, and then... the Professional model (which ceased production in 1986) There are 4 "levels" of steel frame models in EMC: - "economic": 3-Athlete ---> Strada - "mid": Professional. (until 1984 it was also a "top") ---> Corsa - "top": Pro ---> Corsa Extra/Century/Grand Prix ---> Arcobaleno - "special top": Corsa Extra Max---> Mx Leader There were also Chrono and Criterium with unusual geo also belonging to the upper levels. Bike worth
Hey, what do you think about this and its worth? With best regards. As i asked in another thread und you already said its from 1988-1990. But how much is it?

Sorry, I don't do valuation. Century 653 from 1988 is a rare model, the Panasonic painting pattern is popular - that's all.
|
Thank you very much! No problem! Is Century 653 and Reynolds 653 the same?
|
Century - one of the EMC models; Reynolds 653 - tubes from which 1 Century series was built

Hi Jacek
Today was one of those great days when you go out with an empty car and come home with 2 new friends! 😁 Motorola is L: D 6 TT R: D2509 Stuttgart is L: L6X R: B4012 Any stories from the database? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7c0fec373.jpeg |
Fate is exceptionally gracious to some... The patience of others is put to a serious test :)
Stuttgart: L6X B4012 - Corsa Extra SLX 1988, road racing geo Motorola: D6TT D2509 - Corsa Extra TSX 1992, road racing geo - does it definitely have italian threads? A beautiful duo... |
Thanks Jacek. Yes it was a very lucky day for me. Also thanks, I love the body of knowledge on this subject! I’ll have a closer look at the Motorola next weekend. It has a number hanger and has I believe worked for a living...

And so it should be... The frame belongs to a series built in summer 1992, BSC threads appear ~D2500 - this is an experiment, confirmed by correspondence with EMC (the only one I know for sure - that maybe there are other series). Your frame is even more unique than you thought :)
