Very Nice 27" Wheelset, Sun CR18 rims, DT Swiss Spokes, VO Hubs about $75.- shipped
Waiting on a new 5 speed freewheel.
Very pleased with the wheelset and price. Promptly shipped, well packaged. Arrived without damage.
True, round, very smooth bearings.
Thought I'd share.
Front wheel was $19.00. Ahem.
Rear wheel was $40.00
Subtotal:$59.00 USD
Shipping:$13.58 USD
Grand Total:$72.58 USD
The shop (thebikeshopstore.com)has been discussed on Bike Forums, and may be a reborn niagara cycle works.
Very few reviews/feedback on the website. Package tracking was spotty, and they seemed to have billed my account before they actually shipped.
OTOH the pacakage arrived about 7 days after I placed the order.
So far, a very positive experience.
Edit: VO QR skewers included. No rim strips, tho.
Front Wheel link, for Rear wheel scroll down on same page.

Sounds too good to be true. I recently bought a pair of 700c CR18 rims and they were $72 incl shipping. I already had the hubs, and my double butted ss spokes were more than your whole wheel deal. Couple years ago, I got a set of Reynolds Stratus Elite 700c wheels from Nashbar for $139 incl shipping. I thought that was a good deal. They have both turned out to be good wheel sets. Good luck with yours.

I did seem too good to be true, and the spotty tracking and no-reviews website seemed sketchy.
The same VO Front hub sells for $75.00 on their site.
I hesitated to post, until I saw they have quite a few in stock.
Figured C&V might clean them out!

Did they steal the website photos from Niagara Cycles or is that what became of Niagara Cycles? Niagara Cycles would have some really good deals at times that made me wonder how they made money...and then they went out of business. So they weren't making money.

Well, I jumped the gun and posted without seeing the text below the photos.
That is a ridiculous deal on a set of wheels. But it appears to be much cheaper to ship east of the Mississippi.
You could buy the wheels and take them apart and have the hubs for the price of one hub!

Slow boat shipping to Seattle is $73 still $133 total for a 27" wheelset with Sun rims and VO hubs is a darn good deal. Hmmm

$46 shipping to Minneapolis. @chainwhip where are you located?
Might be cheaper to ship to a facilitator and have them ship via bikeflights or shipbikes.

I'm so tempted but then I'd have to buy a frame that takes 27 inch wheels . . .

sun m13ii rims: $70ish shipped
sapim race spokes: $35ish shipped
my choice of vintage hubs: $30-80
But then I would have a far lighter and better wheelset that I know I could rely on.
Sheldon's wheel building page is easy to follow. And sun rims are a snap to lace and true.

It might cost a little more to do it myself:

$75 vs. $315 +/-...$240 off.
$315 would have almost bought me a second set of zondas.
