Here's a "Miata".......
....Actually, Mazda just calls them just "MX5's" these days, as they deleted the "Miata" badges on this latest version of the car...... this one is the 2019 RF GTS model (Retractable Fastback Grand Touring Sport).
BTW, if you are looking into getting the new ND, you cannot make a mistake getting one as they are the best version of the car so far, hands down! Especially with the added horsepower this year, driving the really light car (about the same weight as the first NA version). The GTS version, while top of the line, is the best value, IMO, as it comes with all the creature comforts if the Grand Touring model and the sport suspension of the Club model.

I'm betting it's a 1995 green roadspeed, as seen in the folder/catalogue.

Fellow member and Koga-Miyata know-all @Elev12k has owned a very nice one, which is documented here.

Very nice stuff.

Odd hole, threaded boss, one each on underside of TT and DT. FUNCTION UNKNOWN!

HPL I think that the threaded hole under the TT is for a screw in holder for your race card number. If you go back to Non-Fixie's post #8 and look at the picture you will see the race card hanger that has been screwed into the threaded hole in the bottom of the TT.

Now my question to Miyata owners are these screw in race card number holders still being made, are they readily available or are they an unobtainium part that comes with the original Miyata and when lost is "Damn" lost?

Chombi1 yes they are finally edging closer to the engine the Miata chasis has always needed. The turbo Mazda Speed NBs sort of went there, but didn't quite. Reviews on the new ND tempt me to take a drive, but for the price tag you can be looking at an entire range of other temptations like really nice C5/C6 Corvettes, etc. The real dream though is the conversion of dropping a Honda/Accura V6, but then that's the American Hot Rod culture in me.

Sorry Sorry, brain blitz due to Chombi1's pictures (and not blaming you Chombi1), so back to Miyatas, get thee behind me Miyata.

Damn, Damn, Damn....as I hoped/feared the posted bike came back with tube measurements that are nearly identical to my Stevenson Custom, very little needs to be changed (maybe a little longer stem) and it would fit me. Gasp even the wife gave the "if you want to get it, get it", but I do need to down size one bike from the current herd.

So, I know/guess the forums reaction to my hesitation/reluctance........ "out of your mind?", "what's wrong with you?", yes this is shocking.

But on the one hand there's the projects awaiting completion which the purchase price could advance, then there's the is this the right Koga-Miyata/Miyata or should I be patient and wait for fruit from a higher branch to fall? On the other hand it both fits me and is a triple (no small thing to soon to be 67 year old knees, etc.), and from pictures appears to be both completely original and in, other than wear on the rims from use, in perfect condition. But it's a 95 with brifters, does it even belong in vintage? Though it's still a 25 year old bike, didn't Eroica open a new category it would be allowed in?

So welcome to "Waiting for Koga-Miyata" I welcome the audiences participation.

Are there things I'm missing, leaving out, not considering...have any of you had to wrestle with a similar dilemma, thoughts and help are welcome.

Oh and T-Mar the serial number appears to be TH39052 with 54 written at 90 degrees next to this main set of numbers.
