Continental Grand Prix Classic Tires

Looks GREAT!

I see you're riding Continental Grand Prix Classic 700 x 25c tires. How do you like them?

I have those tires on several bikes and the jury is still out.

They have just about the same feel as the old Conti Grand Prix 700 x 23c tires that I've been riding for years - which I like. They were discontinued about 2010. I got 24 of them for ~$12 each on a closeout so I still have a few NOS left.

I rode the Grand Prix Classics yesterday and the old Grand Prix tires today on similar riding bikes so I got a good comparison. I guess that I was expecting a more cushy touring tire with the Grand Prix Classics when I bought them a while back.

The New Classics felt very good on the road, nice comfortable smooth ride and a very secure feeling of contact patch with the road. I pump all my clincher tires to the max of 120psi and I still had a "plush" ride on the pavement. I did very little high speed cornering so I cannot give an opinion on handling except they felt very good and I will buy another set very soon.
