Dream bike.

More pics please.

The Coda chainrings are a cool touch. The frame says 80s but the parts say 90s.

Tx, agreed.

As with many of these, many of the parts didn't survive so they got replaced, I think the seller added the chainrings, chain and freewheel.

The shifters and brake levers should be original and even if the crank isn't, Jim made them like that and he says he made these pedal adapters so....

It came to me with a Campy Record seatpost which he also says it would have came with, I put the SR on it since it had Brooks already mounted.

There are more pics on the other thread and I will add some more here later.

Hawt. Looks like it's been in a front-end collision, but might have been the victor.

Tx, couldn't agree more.

Correct, it's won over time if nothing else, rides perfect, may address at some point, very small for me, no matter, its's the only one I have ever seen in person or that was for sale. I would have bought it even if it was folded in half.

Jim's frames are way more bulletproof than many so no worry.

EX crank is from 80 to 84, going to ask Jim why he seemed to favor them. My touring rig that was his also has one on it from when the 3rd? owner had another Merz customer friend of his help him get Jim to refit it after he acquired the frame.

Tx, Jim was there, rode the short route could have been his or one of, he has quite a few. His rider is a recycler made from salvaged tubes when he was a Raleigh warranty frame repair. It is maroon/burgundy with reddish orange banding accents.

Any pics or what color was the one you saw.

I have some Deerheads, Mafac tandem cantis, bullmoose and a couple other sets of probably more correct wheels as well as pedals that may come to this, we'll see.

Tx, Jim built many special orders for them back in the day as well as Cupertino, Adams ave. in SD and others, he was a busy guy.

You can go to his FB page and look at many build sheets, might even be able to find the one you saw.

Very cool! And in orange!! If riding on anything rough the smaller frame size can be a boon assuming stack and reach are on the low end of acceptable. Or that’s what I’ve found at least. Enjoy your hen’s tooth!

It was white with blue lettering. Gorgeous thinned long point lugs. For some reason, I decided not to take pics at the concourse this year.

I had the pleasure of eating dinner and chatting with Jim that Friday. Quite a bit of bike history there.
