A very nice bike indeed. Top of the bill for the era, I'd think. I have tried to find out out what it is, but no luck so far. What is visible of the decal on the seat tube looks familiar, but my memory isn't exactly photographic.

The style indicates a Dutch, or maybe Belgian, bike.

Jacques Anquetil, in 1951, pictured with what looks to be an Automoto Champion Du Monde. Automoto, a brand with an enormous heritage, was bought by Peugeot in 1959 and killed soon after.

It's about those brake levers, I think:

That’s French television host and cycling superfan Michel Drucker on the left, and Jacques Anquetil on the right, on the set of Le Sport en fête, a sports-variety show from the ’70s.

Look, ma, no brakes (or levers)!

1975 TdF Leaders

This is one of my favorites. The 'Immortals", the 1975 TdF race leaders: Merckx, Thevenet, "The Eternal Second" Pou-Pou, Moser, Van Impe, Gimondi and others.

From an exhibition of Ghanese photographer James Barnor's work. Pic is from '58 and the bike is a Rudge Withworth btw — says so on the chain guard.

Nice to see this topic back on page one. :)

Amsterdam, 1966. Students Bert Smit and Pieter van der Steen are about to set off "to measure and test gears in Europe", according to the description that came with these pictures. I suspect Huret had something to do with this.

I like that a lot (and I've got an A3+ printer).
I was going to ask if you've got more info on it, but google images solved that:
