Any info/ideas on the bike? I see a Reynolds tubing sticker, I think. Really nice looking ride.
The style indicates a Dutch, or maybe Belgian, bike. |
Jacques Anquetil, in 1951, pictured with what looks to be an Automoto Champion Du Monde. Automoto, a brand with an enormous heritage, was bought by Peugeot in 1959 and killed soon after.

1975 TdF Leaders
This is one of my favorites. The 'Immortals", the 1975 TdF race leaders: Merckx, Thevenet, "The Eternal Second" Pou-Pou, Moser, Van Impe, Gimondi and others.

Nice to see this topic back on page one. :)
Amsterdam, 1966. Students Bert Smit and Pieter van der Steen are about to set off "to measure and test gears in Europe", according to the description that came with these pictures. I suspect Huret had something to do with this. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...f3c7d7227b.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7ab07e6059.png |
