Carlton decal
 

Hello,
Was this eliptical decal used extensively on seat stays on Carlton frames please ?
It measures 13/16" high x 3/8" wide [20.6 x 9.5 mm]. The backgound is red, the capital letter C is gold and the "garland"https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...531a44c139.jpg

Neither photograph is complete, but looked at together they represent the full decal.

Carlton Cycles was building Carlton and Sun bikes at Worksop and on the wrap over stay models they sometimes used decals. Yours is quite legitimate and looks original. Sun example as follows:
