MKS pedal dust cap compatibility

No luck...
Just to update, haha.
MKS Sylvan pedals with 1/2 threading are nowhere to be found (upon closer look, that link which mentions them is 17 years old anyway) and I don't know if I'm comfortable about purchasing expensive vintage Lyotards over Ebay (with swapping axles in mind) because it might not be a fit with my axle after all and I'd be stuck with pedals I don't need.
I just came up with a new idea, though... Who knows, maybe someone else will find this thought useful, too:
---> The MKS BM-7 mountain/BMX pedals readily come in both 9/16" and 1/2" sizes - and if you were to saw off that end part off the cage altogether... It would end up looking almost exactly like the touring pedals and as a little added bonus, a little smaller (I thought the touring model would be a little too big for me anyway, but two-sided pedals would work great for me)
