I think I have one but it might be a 22.0mm insertion for French steerers. I'll check when I get home.

this was an enjoyable thread ! The Pros are really interesting bikes that rode the bike boom wave. Workmanship on these was inconsistent, some are very nice but I've seen some that were pretty sloppy, like they were built on a Monday. Whoever posted the silver "Carlton" above has got a very special bike, that looks like an SBDU frame or right before. Thes "Special Bicycle Development Unit" under Gerry O'Donovan built some of the best frames in the world, and equipped several TDF teams. That was shortly after Raleigh acquired Carlton.

This guy - Neil McGowran - has done a huge amount of research and is probably the world SME on these bikes. https://raleigh-sb4059.com/

I really enjoy my Mark 1 Professional which is a completely different bike, built one year only. This one is a Cycle Art repaint and looks absolutely stunning - way better than new.

Kurt I think the chrome bike is pretty special. Agreed, too bad about the head tube, but it looks like really nice chrome.
