I'll have your disrespectful little self know that I was involved in facilitating a very special Fuji for Nick Ozerov, the man who owns and supplied a good number of the bicycles that Scott photographed in this book.

The man whom you've indirectly insulted through his preference in bicycles.

You seem to forget there are human beings behind all of this. Your hateful, vile, repetitive trash is searing itself over the memories I had of every mile I drove and every piece of foam I carefully put over that frame to make sure it'd ship and be received in absolutely pristine condition.

I'm sick of listening to you spew your garbage here. Your incessant attack has been heard once already. Everything afterwards has been a personal slight to get a reaction out of us. Troll somewhere else.

EDIT for everyone (except Robr) reading: I thought I was in the Japanese Steel thread when I wrote this, so these comments are referring to the wrong thread. If anything, these comments are a lot lighter had I realized we were in a thread celebrating - and hopefully respecting - the late Bill Reavis' love for Fuji bicycles.

P.S.: Mongoose Supergooses stink.

Iíve never owned a vintage Fuji but have referred to that site time after time. Given the circumstances, this may be a good opportunity to recover as much of the site as possible as a mirror. Iíll see what I can do...

Yes, unfortunately the creator and owner of ClassicFuji.com, Bill Reavis passed away in April. After a few emails went unanswered I did some research and saw that he had died somewhat unexpectedly. He was a good friend and mentor to me and a huge influence in my early Fuji days.

The good news is that I talked to him about taking over the site at some point. We (William Bevington and I) have all the content in our care. So I can safely say it will be back at some point. I'm not a web guy so I'm relying on others in my Fuji group to help it move forward.

Keep the faith everyone!

Scott

ps. If anyone needs some questions answered about what was on the site relating to a Fuji they have please let me know. I may not get back to you quick but it will happen!!
Scott, I just realized that you mentioned you have all of the website content backed up. If you need assistance with putting it back up I would be happy to help. I'm a web designer/developer.

Love to see the community coming together on this. Could have used this archive a few times over the last few months (!)

I am so grateful to everyone coming together on this!

I noticed it was gone yesterday and I was literally preparing to copy the entire website and re-up the content onto my personal site just in case it was going to be gone forever!

I am really glad that that you are all actively taking care of it. It is sad about Bill.

We should be extra appreciative that he did all of that work and he in a way lives on through the website. I wonder if someone who knew him could sort of help put up a memorial bit about him onto the new site when you folks are able to re ignite it.

Thank you again! I love my Fuji and I loved to look through that website.

I appreciate everyone's support and excitement about continuing on with Bill's work. He was a member here at one point but I can't remember his forum name. I'm 100% sure we will dedicate the website to him!

Some of you have written with questions regarding Fuji, I hope to get all those answered as soon as possible.

Cheers,

Scott

Condolences

My FIL and my wife are the original owners of two early 80's Fuji's. I overhauled my wife's bike for a bike vacation with the kids, and offered the same for my FIL. The bikes were a joy to work on (well, except my wife's right pedal) and I found the site to be a useful reference. It's not often that I'll have a reason to care about the human behind a website, but I was sad to see that Mr. Reavis passed after finding the vintage Fuji archive site when I saw the domain expiration. Thank you both for your dedication to what I've come to regard as attractive bikes.

Thank you! Think Bill would have been humbled by all of these kind words. If there's any help you need please let me know. The Fuji gods are smiling!
