Battery died; enjoyed the ride anyhow

I was getting ready to take a little spin on my old neglected SuperSport that I just had the rear wheel trued on when I noticed that the computer readout was blank. Dead battery I guess. I took a spin anyhow, and it turned into a guesstimate of maybe 20+ miles. Very mixed urban, suburban, sidewalks, bike trails and such.

It was quite relaxing. I am older and this was my only bike for nearly 40 years. Now, however it is more tempting to be more specialized on rides, and look at how my pace is etc etc. It kind of took me back 40 years ago when I bought the bike, and just liked to "ride around and see stuff". I even rode through the college campus I attended at the time.

A relaxing ride on an old bike that can do it all. I can still get some exercise, but also enjoy the ride with the easy to use stem shifters and safety lever brakes. Multiple disciplines are available to me on a couple of newly acquired bikes, but I just had a simple fun ride.
