This thread came and went before I had a bike with the right letter. Found this Marin at the curb this week and am making it a drop bar conversion. Not an urgent project at this point, now that I know it's complete and works. Wheels were straight, tubes held air; not bad for a rusty hulk for free.

This one, the Mikkelson is only slightly vintage being from the early 80s. This isn't my photo but it's my frame that I'll be building up.

This one isn't really vintage at all, but does start with an "M" and the builder has all but orphaned the thing:

For some reason I missed posting a photo here when the M came around the first time. My Miyata 310 that I have owned since 1984. It has a couple upgrades for comfort, but is mostly the way I bought it.

probably an early Carlsbad with that lower head lug, twin plate crown and seat lug.
now, early enough where the top tube rises a bit between the seat and head lug? A Masi measure 55?
BTW, my favorite color. I have 4. two Carlsbad, one San Marcos, one Vigorelli.
Not sold on that spoke lacing pattern... those rims are notorious for mounting fresh kevlar bead tires, I was given a set, but good rims, just misunderstood.
Look around for a set of yellow Binda straps...
Hunt-Wilde bar end plugs in White were OEM.( Masi forgot to send include bar end caps with the initial inventory)
for the "team" bikes at the shop we ran a length of cloth handlebar tape biased to the inside on the chainstay to catch chain slap.

Motobecane Grand Touring
Local find, put together by co-op in Boulder for previous owner. $70, rides wonderful. Added Velo Orange fenders, nothing else. Swapped one bad seat for another. Planned on just keeping as a bike for guests and friends but I’ve been out on it a bunch and I’m smitten.
