Bianchi MTB model?

Wondering what this model might be. Sun Tour forged dropouts but no idea of the tubing?

You're looking at mid-late 80s, entry/mid-level. Bianchigirll any catalogs?

All I ever saw were Grizzlys so there's my guess.;)

I believe the Grizzly was usually higher up in the line-up, getting Deore or Deore XT cranks.

The down tube has the 1986-1987 CdM decal, indicating a 1987 model. It might not be an ATB but a Volpe. They did come in turquoise and used SunTour derailleurs, so SunTour dropouts would be appropriate.

It does look like the Volpe color and graphics, but didn't the Volpe have rack braze-ons on the forks(?)

It's hard to tell if the fork does or doesn't have low rider mounts. However, it's definitely not a Grizzly/Super Grizzly, as these employed chain stay mounted rear brakes in 1987.

It is an '97 Cervino, the model below the Grizzly (a Super Grizzly was the top model in '87) and according to the catalog, there was a separate MTB/ATB catalog in '87, it had a full ChroMo frame and fork, the derailleurs were Suntour Alpha 5000 Accushift, Shimano AT-50 cantilevers, Sugino Vp crank wif 28/38/48, KK-310 sealed tech hubs, colors were Aqua8shown8 and red.

A guy on ebay is looking for $60 plus $65 shipping. Was wondering if I should take the plunge.

$120 with no wheels, bars or controls? Can you get a proof of life pic? You know does the seatpost and stem come out?

Bar shifters included. No bars or wheels. He says both are tight but not seized. I was going to offer $35 (plus the $65)

I think I am going to pass on that.
