The "600 derailleurs give perfect shifts", even with a stiff link in the chain.

“I understand...”
So interesting that the caption mentions “the finish is definitely sloppy but the ride approaches that of the best…“.
i have always said that about my Dawes Double Blue that I owned forty years ago. Spot on. Not pretty with bubbly and gappy brazing (looked just fine from 5-10’ away!) but it really rode g.r.e.a.t. Best riding road bike I’ve had out of prolly 30 bikes. I will buy one again if I ever get the chance. Lemme know if anyone has a lead on a 22 1/2” Double Blue!

Excellent timing, as I might actually have one of those frames, and am thinking of building it up. It is either a Double Blue or a Mirage, although I don't know if they were actually different, other than the colors.
Speaking of color, mine has been repainted in rather a striking yellow:

My circa 1967 Double Blue is nothing like the later version in the review, but it's a very comfortable ride. As others have said, the brazing is a little crude, with noticeable amounts of spatter here and there. I've never been able to figure out what the frame tubing is, but given that it takes a 26.0 seatpost, it's likely something pretty basic.
