XXth annual autumn CCRT ride.
A bit late in posting this year, but it's on! The Saturday of Columbus Day weekend (12 Oct) up and down the CCRT with a side trip to the shore. Actual start place and time to be determined by consensus, as the trail has been lengthened. In any case, 45-65 miles of flat MUP with amenities. C&V themed, but all are welcome. I might actually ride a bike from the 1990's!

I'm in. Doesn't matter to me where we start. I live a mile from the extension so see everyone wherever we start.

Just back from a week of camping at Nickerson State Park, which included some tootling around on the rail trail. I also went swimming at Coast Guard Beach without getting eaten by a shark. As usual, I won't be able to make it for the actual ride, as much as I would like to. Have fun without me.

Can’t make the 12th but I do make it to the cape regularly for work. Will try to coordinate next time. Hope you guys get good weather and enjoy the ride.

I won't be able to make it this year, first missed ride in maybe 5 years. I'll get to the cape before winter sets in and ride the trail solo, maybe find a good clam shack nearby. Hope you get good weather and tailwinds. I'll keep an eye out here, if the ride gets pushed back to Sunday for weather reasons, I'll be in. Enjoy, and I'll miss everyone. I really look forward to these rides.

Dave, looking at the weather I'd gladly bump this to Sunday if it's not too late for other folks.

I'm up for Sunday. Most optimistic forcasts for Saturday is morning rain clearing as the day goes on.

So where is the starting point of this ride? Not sure I'll be there, but am thinking of making it part of a Boston to Provincetown ride. Problem would be getting out early enough to hook up with this group.

Same start Point, Dennis trailhead exit 9A off Rt 6. Same time, 10AM.
I'll be at the Harwich rotary about 1010-1015, having pedaled in from Chatham.
Neal, if you could make it I'd love to meet you after all these years.

Okay, I'm thinking fairly seriously about trying to catch up with you all. I figure I'll leave my house no later than 6 am, but that wouldn't put me at your starting point by 10. Still, I could likely catch up if I know where you are. Anyone participating have my cell #? @ScottRyder?

We did ride today! Spectacular weather, great company, 46.5 miles (more or less). Five participants, Top506, spiker, otg, my sweetie Sharon and myself. Top started in Chatham and met us at the Harwich rotary. The rest of us started at rt 134 in Dennis.
Here is what the rest of you missed:
Cranberry Harvest.

A stop at Nickerson State Forest on the way out. Talk about bikes, tell tall tales.

At the Atlantic. Surf's up thanks to yesterday's storm.

L to R: spiker, Sharon, me, otg, Top506.

(No sharks were harmed in the taking of those pictures.)
Lunch is a required accessory.

Some pictures at the Harwich rotary on the return. (We all made it! Top left for Chatham before otg and spiker arrived.)

CCRT Fall Ride 2023 I promise to attend. My robe will have been hung up for 6 months by that point. I'll probably stay on Cape Cod for the weekend.
Top is looking well fed.
