Eddy Merckx early colors

1980: Marc IWC v.r.d. - Mr Van Impe in the centre of a relaxed bunch of cyclists (Col du Galibier - TdF 1980). The blue frame of a company that has already existed for 3 months.

1981: IWC Imex - Patrick Sercu, the best friend of his bicycle manufacturer. Yellow in a beautiful shade.
198x: underage champion of Belgium on a fancy silver bicycle.
198x: Team Expert - they also have silver bikes.
1981: Daddy teaches his son to ride a bike (random people and random bikes, cool outfits)
1982: Capri Sonne - silver again.
1983: Winning - Merckx - Campagnolo, Tour of America 1983. Professional in borrowed trousers - red frames (probably)
1983: Europe Decor - light blue frame.
1984: Europ Decor - yellow frame, the colour used later by the Lotto.
1985: Tonissteiner - pattern brutally copied from FAEMA (same colors - really)

It's cool, but it's not a team. The guy has a T-shirt on the team that used Colnago bikes and rides the "Eddy Merckx". Ernesto would be a little pissed off....

1982 World Championship Raleigh Support Car

Geese among the ducks.

Someone from the UK sent me this photo that he took at the beginning of the 1982 Worlds.

There are 2 silver Merckx bikes on the roof of this Raleigh Team Support car on the way to the starting line. Was told they were carrying the bikes as a courtesy.

Beautiful photo, thank you. Capri Sonne riders were riding such bikes at the time, certainly Gregor Braun took part in the Goodwood race.

Off topic a little but this is one of my all time favorite cycling photos: The Immortals in the 1976 TdF with Eddy leading the pack and a younger Van Impe in the polka dot KOM jersey,
