New chrome and fun pics!
The DeRosa is all disassembled and frame cleaned up. As mentioned in another thread I’ve been talked out of repainting the frame since other than faded the paint is in pretty good shape.
The fork however needed a little tlc so I brought it to a cycling friend who owns an auto body shop and also does a ton of bike restoration.
the fork turned out beautifully and my friend also went out of his way and painted the hearts with actual gold paint to highlight the red hearts. Super appreciative.
i took some pics of his play room. Most of his vintage bikes were restored and painted by him to perfection. The team Hinault bike is original though from a frame perspective. His polishing skills are also phenomenal. Going to bring him my seat post I think.
Still looking for parts to rebuild the bike, keeping my eyes open!

Those bikes look a little small for me, but the Sting Ray is just my size

How much was the rechroming for the fork, my Zunow need to have it redone.

I’ve had people tell me that they’ve had their forks done well for $50 but I’m sure those are in places where you could shop around.
Mine was $120 but I just gave it to my friend and I think one of his neighbors across from his body shop did the work.
