I avoid drinking alcohol while working on bikes, lesson learned over the years since it causes over-sights that can lead to poor and possibly dangerous outcomes.
Pulling out an over-sized steel seatpost that was pounded into this frame probably 55 years ago would be an exception, it was a job that had gone "several rounds", over several days, before finally yielding to thousands of pounds of pulling force while I beat on the seat tube with a 2# hammer against a remnant block of Trex. Whew!
