My latest build. Steel frame, Carbon belt drive, Rohloff hub. Completed it and then road it from Oregon to Kentucky this summer!

My first frame build. Made in 2017 at Bohemian Bicycle frame building class. Thanks to Dave Bohm for an awesome and life-changing experience!

I got this done today!

Well, I had a few hours into it already, and I had to backtrack and redo some work as it wasn't going to be tall enough, I know its not all that tall, but the standover height will still get your attention...

I have a couple mid-1960s Cinellis (which I love) that have similar geometry. Your design has 2cm longer seat tube, a 0.5cm shorter effective top tube, a 1cm lower BB, and close to the same angles, wheelbase and chainstays. I run my saddles at 85cm, which would work just fine with your design. It would be a blast to do a compare-and-contrast. But then, I'm not in the market for another frame/bike. No, really, I swear . . . .

Out of curiosity, what tubing are you thing of using? Mine have SP, great for a heavy guy like me (255#). Will this bad boy have something comparable?

Very Sad when the UCI made "lawyer lips" or equal retention mandatory for quick release front forks that accept traditional axles.
When I read that, thought two things, Carbon dropouts must crush, and the team mechanics cannot be trusted?

Number 6, touring bike with Rohloff. Built 2014.

Number 7, Rando/allroad on a gravel excursion. Built 2016.
I built my first frame in 1979 under the tutelage of Gary Hale, a local builder.

I'm currently working on frames #3 and #4. #3 is a standard tube rando 650 frame and #4 will be a disk off road touring frame (both 700c and 650b). I'll get some photos to post.

Zombie alert, don't know how I missed it the first time around.

Did you take classes with Jeffery Bock and is that how you ended up with Andy's fork crown?

Huge fan of them as you can see.

I love that fork crown. I have a set of Spirit for lugs waiting in the wings to go with it.

Those are front and back, both very different and that front one is highly modified, clearance for 32's, you can see in the first raw pic, the big standoff was removed.

Looks like the same fork crown and yes it was Bock's class. The one I used was cast by Long Shen and has some brass ring indents for each blade to make for easy brazing, thats all I know about it.

Yep, same crown, Andy Newlands is Strawberry, he and Spencer Houser designed it and had Long Shen produce it. Bock and Andy are good friends and he gets a lot of building supplies from Andy.

One of the diamonds cast into the crown is LAN71, Lawrence Andy Newlands 71, the year he started.
