@Bianchi834: That's real bike porno ... that shade of green with the understated Campagnolo alloy ... the 'Record' skewer and chromed drop out and chain stay — such a common sight, but the overall effect is marvelous!

My wife and I were visiting Nashville for business and had a Sunday off near the state capitol. The hotel lent us some crummy bikes. I'm proud of her she hasn't ridden in 10 years. I asked her to ride towards me and got low. Very pleased.

Each of those pillars is a bell tower with a different note. Every hour they play some songs. It was wonderful

One of my favorite restorations. This is our town green, right around the 4th of July.

Great looking bike. Please don't be insulted in any way, but is that an older Schwinn or the (I think it was 1990s) re-issue? We had a couple of the re-issues when I worked in a Schwinn shop in NY. Again, Great looking bike!

Thank you. Good question and I'm happy to report it is OLD. That's the real deal. Almost all of it anyway.

Chassis, wheels, rack, chain guard, stem, bars, seat(?), and crank are 1953. (when I was born!). Repop fenders, tires, light, and side panels.

I painted and restored the bike and had other parts rechromed. I EVEN learned how to pinstripe it and recovered seat. Cost a pretty penny to restore, but it's great.

Studio shots: 1953 Schwinn Black Phantom.

Awesome bike! Looks like your work really paid off! Ride and enjoy it. But not in rain or mud!

Itís a close approximation of, and inspired by, Legnano lizard yellow. In particular the bicycle raced by Maurizio Fondriestís to win the 1988 menís Pro Road Race Championships, which although branded Legnano was made by Bianchi after they acquired their fading competitor.

The painter said it was -

manufacturer : KIA Motors
OEM code: 2Y revision date 31/10/2012
Description: Greenish Yellow
Colour Ref: WDN8B No1 Density 0.943 g/ml
Mixing scheme; PARAGLAZE
Group: 2

Two pictures of the same Windsor. They don't look like the same bike.

Just shows you the difference a good photo can make.

well done!
This prompts two responses from me....

1. can you list your camera configuration, just so folks can know what it takes to get these results? The general answer is "long focal length and wide aperture", but it's good to discuss the actual values.

2. This might prompt a competition for best and worst... how much better is your best shot than your worst shot?? I foresee a lot of white garage doors in the future.

The first photo was taken by me in the parkinglot of the Bike Exchange with an old motorola Moto cell phone. The second was taken by the shop manager who was in charge of photographing bikes for sale. Better lighting, better camera, better technique. I don't know any details.

One thing I have learned is not to take pictures in direct sun if possible as it tends to wash out the image.
