Would you rather throw a leg over a 1982 Trek 759 (full Dura Ace EX) or a 1984 Trek 770 (full Campy Record)?

Maybe it's the angle of the images, or my eyes, but the geometry of the 1984 bike looks short... so I'd rather the 1982 bike. It looks like I'd be happier on it.

I've had a 770 and they are nice bikes.
But that 759 is rare and a stunner in what appears to be amazing original condition. Owner and I have corresponded; he's being very coy about the reserve price. Bottom line is last time around I was the high bidder at an actual bid of $810 (next highest bidder was at $548, hence largest displayed bid of $558, but that's just eBay), and that did not break the reserve. Honestly, I think that's a a fair market price and perhaps even somewhat optomistic given that nobody else's bid even came close to my max.
I'm not interested in paying more and have moved on to other interesting options.

I was watching the auction, my size. I have an upper end Trek (a 1978 TX 900) so not really that interested in it. It's a stunner though.

757/759s are just plain gorgeous, and you get that early Trek font and color panels! Both frames are super nice Reynolds 531, but the 759 is just a stunner, and on my wish list. 770 coloring and graphics aren't doing it for me.

Serial number does not fit what is typical for an '82, but does appear to somewhat fit the format Trek used for the custom 950 series frame. Seems likely they would use the same format for custom 750 series frames. So judging the sizing from the pics will likely been even more inaccurate than usual.

This is a rough one. I may like the ride of the 770 a little better; it's super quick and the handling is twitchy. It's more of a crit racer. The 759 is a little more relaxed and predictable, while still being a fast one. More a speedy all day rider.
Greatly prefer the aesthetics of the 759. It's a classic, for sure.
