Specialized Allez Comp - 92?

Allez fanatics I need your help.

I snagged this beast today through a friend that lives very far away from me. I previously owned a 1994 Allez Pro which was stolen, and seeing this Allez Comp at $150 I simply couldn't resist.

Now I did not have the chance to chat with the owner so I don't really know anything about the history of the bike. Obviously the brakes are not original, but the derailleurs (front:600, rear:RSX) / shifters (600) /levers (600) remain an enigma. From what I know the 1992 and 1993 Allez Comps had mostly 105. Also I can't seem to find this color scheme anywhere online.

Is there a detail that I'm missing that could help me determine the year and help me in the restoration process? Apologies in advance for the angles of the pictures..!

The 92 catalog shows cranberry as one of the two color choices for the Comp so it may well be a 92. Some have suggested the second digit of the s/n is a date code. Whatever it is it looks to be in good shape. Congrats on the find!

It certainly is my plan. Still trying to determine the year. Retrobike does not have the 95/6 Specialized catalogues.
