Thank you for the explanation. :thumb: I was watching the race last Sunday and while I got the connection to WW I and the strade bianche, I was wondering about the name.

(BTW, I loved to see Marianne Vos win the ladies' version. Nice to see that even L'Eroica participants can win a real race every now and then. :))

She's a goddess in angels disguise! On a Giant Peloton! Ha ha, great on both accounts indeed.

I'd have to stop here and collect my courage for this hill to make. Better to stop and get a good rest than to walk your bike.

Springtime in Central Washington. Wildflowers on the hillside and a constant headwind as I ride highway 10 west to the town of Cle Elum.

France opened up its borders so I took the Koga and headed south for a day trip that was supposed to happen on the second Sunday of April. Empty roads only.

Dansey's Pass. Fantastic riding if you're round that way. Imo one of the best routes in the South Island.

A cool little connector/shortcut I take to avoid the busy Preston-Fall City road when I drop into the lower valley from Lake Alice.
