We're on vacation in Door County- about 43 miles south from that stretch of road right now-
Funny thing about that picture... First- it's really hard to get a shot of that stretch of road without cars coming or going to the ferry. Second... a large print of a *really similar* picture used to hang up in the ferry building. I took a picture of that picture and everyone was like "that's amazing- how did you get that shot." And I was all like "you have to be up there at 7:30 to get the mist and before the ferry traffic is queuing up..." before finally working your way into "taking a picture in the ferry gift shop building."

Low angle light may help make a photo more dramatic but it's also a scary time to be out riding a bike into it.
Luckily, the Middle Fork Road is a dead end road that ultimately ends in a designated wilderness area that sees little traffic on weekday afternoons...
