1983 Miyata 610

I am restoring a 1983 Miyata 610. It needs an English thread 68mm bottom bracket with a square taper. Does anyone know a brand and model number that can be used in this frame? Thank you.

Are you going to use the original SR (Sakae) Triple Crankset?

Miyata 610

I hope to use a Sugino Super Maxy from a 1973 Tange frame. It is a double chain ring and I have several 5 cog Suntour freewheels. Thanks for your message!

any english threaded bb will work. The length is the important thing. Does it look like this?
VeloBase.com - Component: Sugino Super Maxy "fix chainring" (110BCD)

The threading of the bottom bracket depends on the frame (British, French, swiss, italian, raleigh). The square taper (jis, iso) and length depends on which crankset you are using.

If you have the old bottom bracket, measure the length. What I'm seeing is you need a 68 x 122.

I just got a '71 set of Sugino Mighty Competition double cranks with the original bottom bracket and it is a 113mm spindle. I'm using a wheelset from a Miyata 610 (on a '72 Fuji)

The velobase photo matches my crankset.
Spindle from old BB used with this crankset measures 145mm which is bigger than suggestions so far. Tange frame was from 1973 and this Miyata is 1983.

Thanks to all for input.
