That's a beautiful bike. I grabbed the 81 Schwinn catalog when I bought my Le Tour. That exact bike was in there, and I wanted one so bad...

Beautiful looking Superior! If that bike somehow has any quality issues I can’t tell by looking at it. You seem to keep your bikes in fantastic condition, especially since this one is your bike with the most miles on it. If you hadn’t said that I would have guessed it had nearly zero miles on it.

HI, Thanks for commenting. What I failed ot mention was this bicycle was the training bicycle for a local racer. It came with a beat up set of sew up wheels. I show the one rim in the video. It took some polishing but it went together well. Of course, as I said in the video the wheels are new old stock. Another note: I'm slow to buy bicycles. I'm very patient. I only purchase bicycles with paint in the 8-10 out of 10 condition paint. Then I relace the wheels and polish the components. If the bits are rusty I replace them. I cant take credit for the condition of the paint. lol

Thanks!

John

Classic Schwinns are so sick. Love the way they are built.
