Bluemels Club Special mounting kit?
I have a NOS pair of vintage Bluemels Club Special mud guards being shipped here. This pair does not have a mounting kit (stays and hardware) included. I believe the fenders are 42 mm wide.
Having never mounted fenders I wonder off hand if anyone can recommend a mounting kit that will work. Much thanks!

They have what is basically a screw with a hole in it that the stay goes through. I wonder if it might be possible to go to the hardware store and get some M5 or M6 screws and cut off the head, drill a hole in it and put a nut on it to sinch it up?
If I were to do this my self, I would start with a longer stainless steel screw that has a section near the head of no threads and drill the stay hole just above where the thread end. For the stay you can use stainless steel wire. I don't know what size Blummels used however, I would think that 1/8" would be a good size. The wire must be malleable. TIG wire is what I am thinking. It should be possible to form this into the shape that you need. One problem might be that you will need a length of at least 26" to be able to use one wire to go to both mounts. This is typically how it is done on Blummels if I remember correctly. At least on the older ones that I had.
I see that it is available in 36" lengths.

Why not get a genuine SKS Bluemels mounting kit?, cheap enough and will fit properly, since the mounts look the same as the current model. https://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/...s-380mm-739979

Bluemels and ESGE were merged into SKS a long time ago. The SKS B42 "commuter" is the modern version of what you have*, and is sold as the Bluemels fender (err, mudguard) set everywhere else in the world. The mounting stuff is all the same, except that a discrete plastic breakaway clip has been added to the front stay mounts for safety.
*actually the modern version of the later round smooth Bluemels special still being sold in the early 80s

You will also need a bridge clip thing for the rear fender.

You want the bridge but it may be a little narrow for your mudguards. It so, the alloy is very malleable and you should be able to straighten the flaps and rebend them to fit. BTDT

I want to make sure I order the ride bridge. I’d greatly appreciate one more round of feedback on these choices.

You'll need to do a little tweaking with pliers regardless. These things aren't rocket science.
