New photo game - Shiney bikes

I'm a gonna set some rulz:

Main tubes must have the metal showing; clearcoat & special category tinted clearcoat ok.
Lugs can be opaque
If steel then rust score applies:
0 - no rust, nobody gets this. Rust is everywhere.
1 - you know where the rust is but nobody else can find it.
2-10 - owner's say so.
11 - only one bike can be 11, previous 11 gets demoted to 10.

Here's a starter/teaser:

I don't understand the points scoring system but do I win anything.

Is that an incredibly deeply tinted red clearcoat on aluminium main tubes; else is not a contender.

Yes pretty bike.

No it's Columbus EL-OS steel with deeeeply tinted red primer with 2k color and clear .:D

It's a '91, but still looks like it did when new on the sales floor. Yes, that is definitely inappropriate for a touring bike!

I think I should explain the first rule a bit more:

Main tubes *must* be shiney.

The shine has to come from the metal surface, not the paint surface; unless the paint is (tinted optional) clearcoat.

Like chromium- or nickel- or gold-plate, etcetera, or bare metal under clearcoat, or bare naked metal...

Rust is a special form of shine, it is not-shine; by existing reminds us that (steel) shine is an ideal.

For instance my teaser is tinted red and tinted green clearcoat over chromium-plated steel; rust score was a 1 but is probably more now, that photo is about 10 years old.

I think the OP is only looking for chrome or translucent color over chrome.

not just nice and shiny looking.

Yes, but not only chrome - this qualifies (not mine, obviously):

OP is looking to see bikes with chromovelato finishes. I don't know what his numbers represent, however.

I’m just not ready yet for this much nihilism this morning.

Ok, more clarity on the numbers:
0 = no rust.
1 = rust only the owner knows where it is
2 = more rust (like a few pinholes or wee little scratches or where the axle ends bit through the plating/clearcoat)
3 = more than 2
4 = more than 3
...
10 = very Very VERY rusty (but once was shiney)
11 = King of rust (Queen if a french frame)

I had a 531DB Meteor that was fully chrome plated with very little rust but a dent in the top tube. How would have have scored?

You get to score it. I don't think dents should affect the score, but that's just me.

Post a photo and see what others think ('swhat it all about, innit? Photos, shiney photos)

Ok, I'll bite. I call this first one a 6. It's a Puch Bergmeister that I sanded due to lots of pitted rust, thereby exposing the copper plating underneath. Sold it a while ago.

And this one I'll call a 1, a Campania Professional with pretty good original paint and lots of chrome in excellent shape:

Pretty much a zero. I'd have to wipe off the bottom of the shell and look again but I don't think it shows any rust. Rules is rules, give it a 1.

Battaglin for the win, they seem to have the chromovelato and all else down to a science.

Price, service and craftsmanship for a stellar product on par with any other imho. ;)

Youtube keeps directing me to a recent spate of Battaglin marketing videos for some reason. That pink is something else.

Take the hint, make it so. ;)

I think their whole process is something else, I would be surprised if they had any unsatisfied customers.
