Has any one else noticed that the market for nicer 80's and 90's classic bike Mountain bike parts have gone up a lot. Recently I have been looking for a few chain ring's for a classic 110 crank and found almost nothing online except for some real high price stuff and overpriced used crap for $20 plus shipping.. Looked for 90's 1 1/8th guill stem with 25.4 post and 25.4 clamp with 130-140 or so rise and 130/140 length and found nothing really right with most stuff being in the $40-50 range for rough looking used.

I have not, but I don't look for them. I can imagine though, as road stuff is also up. Fairplay isn't a big town it seems, so you'd have to meander to the Denver area to local bike shops to dig for parts that will not only inevitably be there, but also be sold for more reasonable prices, IMO.

I have also found it harder to find vintage mountain bike components recently. I have taken to just looking at CL and other local platforms for donor part bikes. It seems that if I wait I can find a near complete set on a vintage mountain bike near me before I can on eBay (for a reasonable price).

Yeah, I've been thinking of a project to restore a MTB to it's original XC Pro spec, and I've been having to CL the parts, because the only ones online are "NOS!!!!!!!" and $250.
I recently had a friend buy a gorgeous Focus (the Japanese Focus) with full Suntour Superbe for a price that would buy you one Superbe crankset on ebay.

yeah, i've definitely noticed it. i've had to work on the patience factor myself. but, i suspect this covid thing has got the money making gig amped up. supply and demand. new bike sales are way up, too
anyway, used parts in good-great shape do come up, though. i recently got a rare threadless sakae riser mtb stem for a very fair price w/shipping. so, not everyone is greeding out

Remember that threaded 1-1/8" steerers were a thing only for a short couple of years before threadless took over, and that 110bcd chainrings are being sourced by many for use on their road bikes.
So certain parts like these are sure to become more scarce, especially as chainrings wear out (and get bent) and those odd-diameter quill stems might be thought to be impossible to sell and thus get discarded instead of sold(?).
I've recently been having trouble sourcing good used Shimano Triple front derailers, seems that so many by now have had the spring stop on the inner link just snap off (and why I find myself looking for them). The Tiagra 9s version in particular, which still used the 8s-era 52-42-30t chainring sizes cannot be replaced by the other 9s group's derailers made for the 52-39-30t rings, so an 8s RX100 or 105 triple front derailer will usually be the best choice (the 9s Tiagra derailer having become scarce/unavailable over five years ago).

Bikes Together on Fairfax St. on the east side of Denver had a great, and extremely well organized, array of used bike parts when I visited 3 years ago. Nice folks, too.
It’s a long drive from Fairplay, but I’ll bet you get to Denver occasionally. Be sure to check their hours, as I recall them being somewhat limited, even in pre-quarantine days.

6 years ago I bought a NOS XC Pro hubset (freewheel style) for $50. These days they've doubled in price. Still not a bad deal if you don't mind using a freewheel, they're ridiculously smooth hubs.

I’ve had some pretty good luck lately, with buying 80s ATB stuff. And wasn’t even really looking, other than browsing craigslist. Not too many people want the older stuff, because they just don’t know how good it is. 🤔😉

I still never pulled the rear wheel off to look better, but my 6-speed freewheel has a 32-tooth large gear. 😎

I have a ton of stuff I really should put on ebay to alleviate the supply issue. I need a good solid day to get the ads up.
