Modolo Kronos shifters? Seems like an odd choice.

Price after inflation adjustment seems pretty reasonable, at roughly $6500.00

"...virtually every one of my vital dimensions is exactly 50th percentile..."
That may have been the case 40 years ago, Schub...
(I should be the last person to throw shade at our featured author, given I myself am fo, er, thirtysomething pounds over my early-80s racing weight.)

I bought my silver and chrome 26" Paramount (frame only) from a shop in Ohio for about $190, iirc, during Nixon's wage and price freeze in the '70s. Talk about a bargain! It would have been pre-Waterford, according to this article, but there was nothing wrong with its finish or appearance. Wish I still had it, but it was stolen in '77, from the University of Arizona administration building. Seeing a 26" Paramount often makes me wonder...
