Merckx Corsa Extra - Max tubing

I've owned several SLX Corsa Extras and am wondering if anyone on the forum owns or has ridden a Corsa Extra with Max tubing. I know these bikes are relatively rare since they were produced for a short time between the SLX versions and the MX Leaders. I'd like to find one in the 56-57 range but until then I'm curious what others experiences are riding them.

Hunh. I have one, in Telekom livery. Pretty sure they were a one year model.
It’s a 57.
We should talk.

Wasn't E.M. one of just very few who built with the standard-diameter MiniMax tubing?

Seems like it might better suit the lighter rider.

Corsa Extra Max was produced from summer 1990 to spring 1992 - simultaneously with CE SLX, TSX, R753 and (in 1992) with the early Mx Leader varieties.
