This is cool. I have a weakness for vintage MTBs.

Speaking of 1983 ATBs, there's one on the LA craigslist that's sorta interesting. Mountain Sport 1, does anyone recognize the brand?
I love this era of bikes with their miles-long chainstays. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sg...155021279.html https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5a4bf77301.jpg |

Off topicish, but when I'm bored, I try calling all the numbers on these ads, usually to no success, but I find it intriguing to try for some reason.
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fe41d3f3fc.jpg On a similar note, I did pick up this entry level 1989/90 Miyata Sport Runner. It weighs quite a bit despite being full cromoly, but I changed the wheelset to a modern XT-Mavic set and shed about 2-3 lbs. It rides quite nice, but I've decided to sell it, along with my other vintage bikes to make room for a modern mtb. |

BTW, there's an ad in the 1984 review thread - https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...ion-bikes.html - with a number that still rings to the same business. |
