Cutaway quills?
Do my eyes deceive me or are the outer parts of the quill cutaway on these SunTour Superbe pedals? There's no mention of any surgery in the description. I've ground off the quills on one or two sets of pedals before, but never by cutting all the way through the cage. Do other people do it this way?

It might have been meant to mimic these: VeloBase.com - Component: SunTour PL-2000, Superbe Pro (Track)
I think the bottom pedal looks to have been ground down a bit. Maybe the seller obtained them like this and does not know to mention a modification. Looking on the bright side.
